She also goes to a lot of conferences so you might say she has her ear to the ground. Plus there's always a good conversation going on.

Every few weeks I get an email from author Karen Kay to come check out this group blog she's a part of. Petticoats and Pistols is, as you may have guessed, a group blog by authors of western and historical romance. And there is always something going on here.

Daily posts, excerpts, history lessons, interesting little conversations. Not to be missed, especially if you're a fan of western or historical romance. Yehaa!

If you're a paranormal fan, a Dark-Hunter fan or a Sherrilyn Kenyon fan, her blog is where you need to be. For an author as prolific as Kenyon, she does a great job of updating her blog regularly, keeping readers aware of updates, changes, events, and new stories. Her style is honest, conversational, and friendly.

Her blog is available on Myspace. You might as well friend her and subscribe to her blog so you can get those nice little emails whenever she blogs. There's also an RSS feed for those of you with feed readers (I prefer Google Reader, but most email clients have RSS readers these days, not to mention your personal yahoo or google homepage.)

The Book Lady

The wonderful about twitter is all the new people you meet and all the great blog posts you stumble upon. One example is the blog: The Book Lady. The Book Lady is actually a woman named Caryn Caldwell and I have thoroughly enjoyed readng through her articles.

A good blog to me is one that has a mixture of several facets of the author's life without becoming too random. In this case, Caryn has a few topics she covers frequently, one being her cats. Her cats are adorable. The photos alone make this a read-worthy blog.

But then you have great (and dare I say timeless) articles like this: Guerrilla Cleaning for the Time-Crunched.

It didn't take me long to add this blog to my feed reader (I use Google Reader). Have a look and you may be subscribing too.

As a reader, I'm always on the lookout for a great new book. And I often find fabulous recommendations on blogs. So we're going on Tour in July. A blog tour that is. Each day we'll post a new stop (blog) on our tour so that all your readers out there can stop by and take a look.
