Some blogs are eclectic. Barbara Vey's for instance. She talks alot about random things, life, family...but she always comes back to books. Great books. And she's into variety, which is nice. She also goes to a lot of conferences so you might say she has her ear to the ground. Plus there's always a good conversation going on.
Check out her Sunday Matinee where she shows off book videos.

Petticoats and Pistols
Every few weeks I get an email from author Karen Kay to come check out this group blog she's a part of. Petticoats and Pistols is, as you may have guessed, a group blog by authors of western and historical romance. And there is always something going on here.
Daily posts, excerpts, history lessons, interesting little conversations. Not to be missed, especially if you're a fan of western or historical romance. Yehaa!

Books/Publishing News at Yahoo
If you like staying on top of what's new in the book world, be sure to check out the Books/Publishing News page at Yahoo. Updated daily, it includes stories on popular books, movers and shakers in the industry, upcoming releases and a run down of all the Bestseller lists.
---
I try to highlight blogs of interest to readers, but if you're also a writer you might want to check out my site just for romance writers (though there's plenty of information for all types of writers) catauniversity.com.

Lucy Monroe
When she's on, she's on. Lucy is one busy writer, but when she takes time out of her busy schedule, you're guaranteed a variety of great content. Contests, recipes, and lots of delicious excerpts. Lucy writes for Harlequin Presents as well as Brava and Berkeley.
Here's the schedule currently listed at the top of her blog:
Mystery Mon - guest bloggers from brand new authors to big names. Teaser Tues - short excerpts from my books or my current WIP. Wild Wed – fun stuff like extra contests, new vids, etc. Thinking Thurs - chat about whatever is going on in my life or my head. Freaky Fri - could be anything, could be nothing - hence freaky. Serial Sat - Maybe an online serial? Definitely glimpses of characters from already published books - What are they doing now?
Sounds fun!

Sherrilyn Kenyon
If you're a paranormal fan, a Dark-Hunter fan or a Sherrilyn Kenyon fan, her blog is where you need to be. For an author as prolific as Kenyon, she does a great job of updating her blog regularly, keeping readers aware of updates, changes, events, and new stories. Her style is honest, conversational, and friendly.
Her blog is available on Myspace. You might as well friend her and subscribe to her blog so you can get those nice little emails whenever she blogs. There's also an RSS feed for those of you with feed readers (I prefer Google Reader, but most email clients have RSS readers these days, not to mention your personal yahoo or google homepage.)
Speaking of myspace and blogs, you'll find me on myspace here: http://www.myspace.com/catanetwork
